• Graduation ceremony in the City Hall

I AM AN OFFICIAL GRADUATE STUDENT NOW!! WOHOOOO!! All the graduate students were gathered at 14.00 for rehearsal and photography. The real graduation ceremony started at 17.00. My feet hurt SO MUCH we walked up and down the stairs and with my high heels it wasn't easy. It ended up that me and Louise sat down on the floor when waiting for the walkout (with our big dresses yes, not very glamorous haha). We all were starving as well!! ...

  • Max factor xperience review and a mini excursion with Miss N!

So I returned to my favourite mascara brand, Max factor! I randomly bought one at HM because I had a 20% coupon and saw that there was a new Max Factor collection out that is called Xperience. This collection is very new so there are very few people that have reviewed the products but since I have always liked Max Factor's mascaras, I bought one anyway ...

  • (Almost) Everything about Mei aka Mei Mei

...Usually when I am awake and gets up to make my bed (I sleep with my door closed btw), I often find Mei sitting quietly outside my door waiting for me to come out (so freaking cute). She yawns, stretches and gives me a good morning meow. She sometimes wait outside the bathroom when I'm inside LOL...

  • Let me present my kind of new kitty cat, Taiga :D

I got a new kitten in May 2011 and his name is Taiga (his former name was Lion King, but I didn't really like it... so I changed it haha). He is a lynx red pointed Birman, and is supposed to have quite rare markings. Oh well, not that I really cared for that when I chose him. I chose him simply because of his sweet sweet personality....

I was out shopping yesterday and missed a phone call from my dad. I literally felt my heart jump. For a few days ago I skyped with my parents and they told me that my brother's fiancée is having some problems with the pregnancy because she had started to loose foetal water, and she is 2,5 months early! She needed to go to the hospital everyday so that the doctors could monitor the baby closely. I was so scared that something bad had happened but luckily my dad texted me and said that the baby was successfully born and both mother and son are fine. I think he learned from last time experience when my cat was sick lol, he called me but didn't leave any messages so I panicked and called him in the middle of a lecture.

Anyways! I was so happy that everything went fine even though the baby is 2,5months too early! So he needs to be kept in an oxygen box for a few weeks I think. His name is Leonard by the way, Leonard Li. As for the Chinese name, I'm not sure if mom has decided yet. He's also born in the year of the dragon so we have 4 dragons in our family now!

Based on the pictures I have seen so far, he doesn't look like half Chinese to me haha, he looks full Chinese! Hehe I wonder if he will have wavy hair later because his mom has curly hair :D :D

During all these months in uk I have always told myself to ask mom to teach me how to cook when I visit Sweden. But it has never happened, not sure why haha there has always been something else that was more important to do. Nevertheless, I have become much better at cooking than I was before (even without anyone teaching me). Even though I am still far from good, I have still improved a lot and some of my dishes actually taste good haha!

I guess when you live by yourself far from home, your survival instincts will reveal :) beside the education I've got here in the Master programme I am taking... I have learned so much things that I could have never experienced in Sweden. I have also never travelled this much with train and plane - ever! Compared to one year ago, I would have been really nervous about travelling to different cities with train all by myself. Scared of getting lost or missing the train etc etc. I am much more confident with foreign transport system and know how to plan ahead.

It wasn't really pleasant to be really sick in UK away from family (my damn wisdom tooth gave me a bad gum infection). I handled it quite well although I was unfamiliar with the health system here. I am so happy that I registered myself at the GP early, because just a few weeks after that I got sick =__= I've become more bold as well, even outside my comfort zone, such as Demanding to see a doctor without any prior bookings (btw that's really stupid of the UK health system) and voila I got a time right away and got antibiotics prescribed right away as well. Yes it was quite bad, I couldn't even open my mouth properly for the doctor. In general, for your own sake, you need to be bold or persistent.

Beside these experiences, I have a new challenge this week. I am going to another city that I haven't been to yet in UK for a job interview. Even though I don't have any high hopes about passing it for the final assessment day, it will be a worthwhile experience for me. I have never been to a face-to-face interview outside Sweden. This is also a big international company, so I am really excited about this!

Fried rice with seafood, really good! I think fried rice is one of the few dishes that I never fail at!

Btw.... I didn't know there was such thing as Broken Rice I was at the Korean Supermarket and asked for regular rice for meals. The man was not really good at English, well he did say it was broken rice but I didn't understand what he meant by that.... he just nodded when I asked whether it was for regular cooking. Anyways, broken rice is LITERALLY broken rice.... which I noticed when I opened the package.... the rice grains were BROKEN in half lol! I felt like an idiot hahaha anyways I did some research on google and found out that broken rice is just like any regular rice... only that it's cheaper because the grains are broken and not whole. People also prefer using broken rice when cooking porridge.

Oh well it still works, it doesn't taste bad but you just need to be careful with measuring the water (it can easily be too mushy if you have too much water when cooking it). And I still managed to make fried rice of it haha.

Ok I didn't buy this one, it came along a Estee Lauder gift bag that my mom bought. It's Pure Color long lasting lipstick in candy shimmer. I'm usually not that into bright pink colours... and not a fan of shimmer on lips! But this one looks nice on my lips and it's really moisturizing!
