• Graduation ceremony in the City Hall

I AM AN OFFICIAL GRADUATE STUDENT NOW!! WOHOOOO!! All the graduate students were gathered at 14.00 for rehearsal and photography. The real graduation ceremony started at 17.00. My feet hurt SO MUCH we walked up and down the stairs and with my high heels it wasn't easy. It ended up that me and Louise sat down on the floor when waiting for the walkout (with our big dresses yes, not very glamorous haha). We all were starving as well!! ...

  • Max factor xperience review and a mini excursion with Miss N!

So I returned to my favourite mascara brand, Max factor! I randomly bought one at HM because I had a 20% coupon and saw that there was a new Max Factor collection out that is called Xperience. This collection is very new so there are very few people that have reviewed the products but since I have always liked Max Factor's mascaras, I bought one anyway ...

  • (Almost) Everything about Mei aka Mei Mei

...Usually when I am awake and gets up to make my bed (I sleep with my door closed btw), I often find Mei sitting quietly outside my door waiting for me to come out (so freaking cute). She yawns, stretches and gives me a good morning meow. She sometimes wait outside the bathroom when I'm inside LOL...

  • Let me present my kind of new kitty cat, Taiga :D

I got a new kitten in May 2011 and his name is Taiga (his former name was Lion King, but I didn't really like it... so I changed it haha). He is a lynx red pointed Birman, and is supposed to have quite rare markings. Oh well, not that I really cared for that when I chose him. I chose him simply because of his sweet sweet personality....

I had a really scary nightmare last night. Not nightmare with scary ghosts and monsters, it was a scary yet kind of a "realistic" dream. The weird bit is that I realised that it was a only a dream in the middle of it, but I was still scared because it was so real. I was thinking, WHAT IF it's not a dream! Luckily, it didn't end bad (I think it's because I later realised it's just a dream) but God I felt so stressed and paranoid in the dream. You know the feeling of being chased and you can't relax because you need to constantly look out for danger and enemies. AND on top of that, worrying and protecting people you care about.... I'm not a superwoman with special power you know (not even in the dream lol) =___=

Jeez, I was hoping for a good sunday sleep -____-

....Anyways, on a different note :P I rarely have nightmare with ghosts and monsters etc (I had nightmares as a kid though) but even if I do have one it starts of being kind of scary but I always manage to become "friends" with the monster or ghost lol It's either because it turns out that the monster/ghost is not evil at all, just sad.... OR the ghost is actually not a ghost but a human that people are afraid of.

Oh wow this post is so WEIRD, but anyways my tips for people that often have nightmares:

1. If you want to wake up from the bad dream: In your dream, go and find a deep sea and a high place where you can jump off into the water. That ALWAYS wake me up (I discovered this when I was a kid). You know what, I told this to my friends one day and they said it sounds like INCEPTION. I haven't watched that movie yet lol but I think I should haha it sounds interesting!

2. If you want to "take control" of you dream and turn it to good dream: Weeell it depends what kind of nightmare you have. If it's a dream with ghosts and monsters, try to make friends with them? Like try to talk to them XD They might not be bad as you think! If it doesn't work and you are unable to find a sea to jump into, close your eyes (in the dream of course haha) and try to be complete blank in your mind. You might start off a new dream that is not scary or wake up.

You must think I'm crazy HAHA! But you know, it's YOUR dream after all. I actually think dreams are interesting, I even have a dream dictionary ^^;;

I'm trying to study now but I can't concentrate..... I'm sooooo

ooo bored! But I really need some work done in our marketing research project, because I DO NOT want to do it during my Christmas holiday. Anyways,

while studying, it made me think of my classmate's shocking (yes shocking) face when she saw my handwriting:

"OMG did you write this?? Is this your handwriting?? It doesn't match your appearance at all!! Honestly.... it looks like a guy's handwriting hahaha"

And you know what, I got it confirmed by a male classmate too:

"Hahaa...yeh honestly, it does look like guy's handwriting, but hey is that an insult??"

Yeh yeh I know my handwriting is ugly, I just can't be bothered to do anything about it now... XD

Here are some stupid pictures of me at my cousin's place (taken when I was trying to "study")

(very matching right :D)

Three projects and we haven't even started on one of them! Haaaiii! Last week was crazy and this week will be quite hectic as well... so I decided that I need some mini vacation to London this weekend! Seriously, it's so cheap... you can find a returning ticket for like 75kr!

Anyways, good night from Taiga :)

I am pretty sure that I am on the reception's blacklist because I have been there SO many time. These are the things I have complained about (so far)

* Heater (it's working now)
* Ants in bathroom (They have disappeared but I'm not sure if they have actually done anything to it or it's simply too cold for ants to be out now)
* Bed (Got a new mattress)
* Draining in bathroom (fixed)
* Draining in kitchen (not fixed, so I might go back and complain again)
* Vacuum cleaner (fixed)

Actually, 2 of the things are related to the flat in general BUT my flatmates seem to not bother that the vacuum cleaner doesn't pick up ANYTHING and that it takes 10 years for the water to go away in the sink. *Sigh* well someone needs to do the dirty work which is me.

The funfair was so fun! And it felt so weird that it was in the campus! This never happens in Sweden! Imagine yourself Grönalund coming to your uni, crazy haha!

Cambridge was really nice! Love the buildings but it was kind of cold that day... so I have ended up with a flu now -___- *cough cough* but I feel better now. Better stock up medicin since I seem to get easily sick here.... I wonder why?? Is because I don't eat as healthy as I did in Sweden or what? By the way, I've lost weight... I weight 49-50kg now but I think it's because I've been quite sick lately (gum infection and now a flu)

Don't you think that the background looks like a painting? The scenery was really nice.

Yo!
I'm now back from Coniston and it feels good to be back to my clean bed and clean bed sheets. The first thing I did when I came back was doing the laundry HAHA!

Anyways, even though the camphouse was dirty I still enjoyed the trip :)

Next trip is Cambridge! :D

I can't anything but congee for the moment T__T

Okay so my cheek pain won over my stubbornness...

I went to the GP (doctor) this morning. It's so stupid here in UK btw, you need to BOOK a time with a GP, unless (according to the nurse) it's very urgent. Well my pain was urgent and I told that to the receptionist and luckily she found a free time for me right ahead!

It didn't take long at all. And yes it was quite urgent since my gum (right next to my wisdom tooth) is infected and the GP prescribed me antibiotics right away after I pointed out my swollen lymf node. I got Augmentin prescribed and I need take 3 tablets/day in a week. This is a bit ironic since my flatmate (who's also sick) complained about the GP not prescribing antibiotics to her =__= she should actually be happy over the unnecessity of taking Penicillin....

The GP also said that should go to a dentist >__< I hate dentists, but I guess I need to book a time when I'm in Sweden. By the way, visiting the doctor was free! :O

My mouth hurts really bad and I have a sore throat....

At times like this... I really do miss my family T__T. I miss mum taking care of me when I'm sick.... when Taiga and Mei cuddle with me while I'm lying in my bed.... and when dad buys my favorite food for me...

Out to town now!

I went to the city centre today with my friend S because she lost her phone today :( so we looked at phones and she bought a sim card. She didn't buy the Iphone 4 since it cost almost as much as the new Iphone 4S which will be released this Friday. I on the other hand, had my stupid lamp (which was the second one already since the first one was broken) with me for a refund at Argos. It stopped working after two weeks and it's my secondd lamp already!! So I was quite upset and ready for a fight with the salesman but I didn't even have to put any effort for it lol:

Salesman: Hi, so what's with the lamp?
Me: Well it's not working anymore, it's my second lamp already. It stopped working after 2 weeks!
Salesman: So what do you want?
Me: A refund!
Salesman: Oh ok, come here please.

So that went smoothly! The problem now is that I don't have a table lamp anymore (and I'm not sure if I want to purchase one from Argos again after th
at bad experience), I'm hoping that Homebase has stocked up there table lamp - because I really need one.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways! I did some shopping too! We went to Primark and Tk Maxx! I bought a pair of legwarmers and a very nice Angora top! I also bought a pair of Rockport flats for 29 pounds only! I love TK Maxx btw it's like a big Outlet shop with different brands for low price! I'm definitely going back later to buy a nice bag!!

Knitted Angora top from TK Maxx 24,99 pounds, it's apparently a designer brand called James Lakeland that is quite expensive (?) because the recommended price for the top is actually 125 pounds (it's crazy) O__o the size is L so I'm wearing it like an oversized top. It's soooo soft and I love lace details :D

Legwarmers from Primark 4 pounds

I didn't take pictures of the flats, maybe next time!

I'm sitting in the library and trying to get some work done. I have been out on Friday and Saturday till night/day.

I'm going to give you a quick summary of these days haha can't be bothered to write a long post about it:

FRIDAY:

My friend wanted me to attend an Asian party. I didn't really want to because it was only me and her (her friends were not in party mood and other were sick and bla bla). Anyways, I decided to go in the end. It wad okay, I enjoyed the night but it wasn't a GREAT night. Plus, we met a lot of weird people haha...

I saw at least 4 girls that were crying and acting all dramatic... With the their fake eyelashes dangling from their eyelids and makeup all smeared. Heh.

We left the club at 3.30 and went to a kebab takeaway with her two friends. The time was after that 4 ish and the train didn't go until 5.53. Being poor students we were quite unwilling to pay taxi.... So we went to the karaoke place and stayed there until 06.00. We got home around 07.00.

You know, it's always so wierd when you get home to get some sleep and then see people leaving their homes to go out.

SATURDAY

Well we only got 2-3 hours of sleep because we had to wake up at 11.00 for dimsum haha. But I couldn't sleep anyways... I'm always like that a night out with some alcohol. Sooo after some really good dim sum and COFFEE we started to explore Birmingham! We had dinner at Jamie Oliver's restaurant. It was quite good, but did not really meet up my high expectations. Got home late again.

SUNDAY

I slept till 10.00 hahaha so tireeeed! Tried to study, cleaned my room!

I'm soo bored right now, I'm waiting for the train to arrive (I arrived here more than 30min early! See I'm super on time!!) so I thought I might blog while waiting.

I went to the msc welcome party, to be honest it wad kinda lame. People didn't dance and the place was kinda nasty (they didn't even have a wardrobe) but my company was nice so it was ok. And we saw our director dancing Lol!! We went back early though. Oh yeah and I this disgusting strawberry beer! Well it was free so nevermind that, I would never purchase it myself though.

Soo what am I going to do in London?? I dunno, I have no specific plans - except for buying a pillow case in IKEA. My cousin called me a diva pahahhaaaa no but seriously, the pillow case (and actually the whole bed sheet set) is soo rough and uncomfortable! And if it's possible, I would like to buy some frozen Swedish meatballs, I miss them!!

Good evening! I made this dish by myself! *proud* ad it tastes good! It's chicken, celery and leek!

This is the official week for the school start, I didn't have any classes today but my first lecture starts tomorrow! Eeek I'm kind of nervous, I'm mostly nervous about the group work actually....

My class is FULL with Chinese students, like 50% (or maybe more??). I am not very good at communicating with them because my mandarin is lacking (shame on me) and they are not very good at English (most of them are very nice though... except for the rude and whining girl who acted like a 5 year old). So my worst scenario would be ending up with a group with ONLY Chinese students! There will be communication problems and I will probably be the one in charge of reading everyone's texts and correct the grammar - which is a problem because English isn't even my first language!

Anyways, we'll see... I'm hoping for the best.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to the city center with another flatmate yesterday, she's Canadian-born-Chinese but doesn't understand Chinese. She's 29 years old and has LOTS of experience, which kind of made me feel immature lol I went to Forever21 but only bought two basic tops (it was very cheap, the tops cost totally 65kr). It was very tempting to buy other clothes but again, I managed to hold back haha!

There was a small guild event in our hall, students gathered together to get free curry for dinner. To be honest, I hesitated at first because Annie didn't want to go (and she was the only person I knew at that time) but then I thought (or my stomach thought) "Oh whatever, it's free food!!". So I went there and luckily, I met another friend there, her name is Kristy. She's BBC, British born Cantonese. She's only 19 and very sweet haha!

Kristy and I went to the City center/China Town on Monday for shopping and dinner. We went to the Bullring for some window shopping. Well Kristy actually bought a very nice dress at Forever21, the store is H-U-G-E btw! It was a big store with three levels! The clothes were so pretty, but I managed to hold back and didn't buy anything (pats myself on the back).

I bought these ugly slippers at Aldi, they are very comfy though! They cost like 50kr.

(Are you happy now Miss Lim :P)

There are pidgeons outside my window and it's freaking cold here!! The buildings in England are really, really poorly built! Seriously, it's colder in Sweden but it's at least warm inside!! The isolation is poor, and the heater is rubbish (it turns off after 2h, so I think I need to buy an external one in the store).

Other than that, I've met two of my flatmates, they are both from mainland China. One of them, Annie, guided my around the school and showed my all the good shops near campus. She even cooked lunch for me! That was really sweet of her.

I still haven't met anyone that is taking the same programme as me, and the welcome event for international students is already sold our/full...

Anyways, this was just a quick update. I'm going to Aldi to buy a pair of lined slippers because my feet are soo cooold >____<

I'm leaving today and I'll we away for a year! It feels weird and I'm finally starting to feel very very nervous. What if I don't fit in? What if everything goes wrong? What if I don't like the school? Oh god there are so many "what if"

Oh I'm going to miss my family and my two cats T__T

I will miss my friends in Sweden as well!

I'm leaving my comfort zone today...

I have finally downloaded a blog app, don't know why I haven't done that earlier! It's so much easier to blog now, I can do that whenever I want to!!

Here's a picture if Meis profile, it's so cute <3 she looks like a little fox cub

I am sorry to say that there will be no HK shopping part 2 blog =__=;; well I really did plan to write one... but then I have been working a lot... etc etc. I am currently busying with my England preparations.

I'm leaving in less than two weeks *PANICKING* and there are soooo many things that I haven't done yet. E.g cleaning my room PROPERLY as in clear all unnecessary things from my drawers and my wardrobe! Oh god, I feel tired just thinking about it.

I am very stressed about the course books as well, I can't find the information about that!! ARGHH and I want to buy them on TIME! (Yes I'm trying to get rid of the bad habit of buying the books after like 5 lessons).

OMG I feel so stressed out just writing this =___=

OH YEAH I HAVEN'T BOUGHT THE RICE COOKER DAMMIT!

Yes it is VERY important to me, I simply can't live without a rice cooker. God bless the rice cooker inventor. It's so super convenient, because it's fast and the rice never get burnt. AND you can also cook another side inside the rice cooker! After 18 min or so, voila you have rice and a dish finished!

Anyways, what a messy blog post. I'm so tired... I need to get the kitties out from my bed so I can get a good night sleep....

Good Night yawn from Taiga XD

Yeehh after coming back from Hong Kong för like three weeks I am finally fully charged to blog the interesting things I bought.

I bought Majolica Majorca's new mascara called Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo. It has pretty much the same formula as the former mascara I have from them, The Lash Expander Frame Plus. The main difference is the brush, Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo has a brush and not a comb (which I really didn't like about the Lash Expander Frame Plus). Anyways I
t works great, super water-proof and very light.

Since I really love their mascaras I thought I should try their eyeliner as well, the Perfect Automatic Liner. I am kind of disappointed with this product. It does stay for the whole day but GOD IT'S SO DIFFICULT TO APPLY!! It takes AGES to make it look smooth and even on my eyes T__T I don't understand, I've read many good rev
iews about this product....

I bought a blush brush and a small eyeshadow brush at SASA, T
hey were quite cheap. The blush brush cost like 50kr and it's goat hair. Despite the price, they are really good! But then, these are my first make up brushes ever haha but as a regular make-up user, I am definitely satisfied with them :D

The small can-looking thing next to the eyeshadow brush is the Salmon Dark Circle concealer cream from Skinfood that people have rave
d so much about.

Well I am not that impressed:

The colour: Too light for me (it might suit me better when I am pale like white paper in winter).
Coverage: It's okay, almost as good as the Maybelline mineral concealer that I use. And it doesn't crease BUT it does crease if you appl
y powder on top.

Formula: It's too oily, it feels sticky on my skin.

I rate it 6 out of 10. I won't repurchase it again considering it cost around 120kr :P not cheap in other words!

I went to Colourmix and bought some Liole stuff! This is Liole's Blooming Pop Pinky tint that you can both apply on lips and cheeks. However, I prefer using as a liptint because it's rather difficult to blend it on cheeks. It looks like a bubblegum pink colour on the brush, but it looks more natural pink on the lips. I guess it also depends on your own natural lip colour. I love this product!! :D :D
Okay so here's the famous Liole's Triple the Solution B
B cream. Not too expensive actually (I've read it's pricey but I guess HK sells it cheaper?) 120kr ish - as much as the freaking concealer from Skin Food GAAH!

Anyways, I really like this BB cream even though it's different from my Skin79 BB cream which I love:

Colour: It really suits my skincolour, it is slightly darker than my Triple Functions my Skin79. So it's great for summertime. Especially it has better Spff++ f
unction than Triple Function.

Coverage: It is a bit thicker and has better coverage than the Skin79 BB cream I have, so I need to be careful not using too much product. Nevertheless, it feels light on skin.

Smell: Not a fan of the smell, smells like some old French perfume...

To sum up it's a great product! I'm planning to use the Liole BB cream during summer and sunny days. I can't decide if which one I prefer though, the Skin79 one or Liole. The Liole BB cream is also supposed to help lighten dark spots, I need to use it more frequently and for a longer period and then get back if it really has this function.

I bought some skin-care products from JuJu cosmetics. Their Aloe vera cleanser, toner and lotion. They are really nice! Very moisturizing and gentle. Great for winter time when I'm super duper dry.

I think that's all the make-up and skincare products I bought in HK :)

So many things have happened but I have been too busy (ahem too lazy) to post anything here. I don't want Taiga to feel un-loved so here is a post dedicated to him :)

I got a new kitten in May 2011 and his name is Taiga (his former name was Lion King, but I didn't really like it... so I changed it haha). He is a lynx red pointed Birman, and is supposed to have quite rare markings. Oh well, not that I really cared for that when I chose him. I chose him simply because of his sweet sweet personality.

Taiga is like Mei mei, loves to follow me around but he is even more sociable than Mei mei! Even though Mei mei loves people, she only allows me to pick her up and cuddle her in my arms. Taiga loves EVERYONE hahaha. He loves to snuggle up against your face lol.

I just discovered that my brother sounds very wierd when he speaks Swedish O_o

This picture was requested by miss J, so here you go:

I think my middle finger turned out best

I used the light pink one (the left one on the picture) on a layer of regular nail polish. I tried to make a simple nice pattern, but it was sooo difficult because the brush is thicker than a regular nailpolish. It's pretty cool how it cracks into a random pattern, but it's difficult to apply because it dries SUPER fast.

*UPDATE

New colour combination:

Mavala Hong Kong and Isadora Grafitti

Posted by Colie 0 kommentarer

There were some things I needed to buy to Mei so I asked Miss J to come with me to the Zoomarknad in Bromma. The place was huge with so many fun pet things! We saw some cute animals as well (they were totally chilling out) =^^=

Look at the legs haha!

So fluuuuufffffeeeeeyyy!!

Look I bought a fake BURBERRY collar to Mei! It's difficult to see though, because of her fluffy fur lol. I think it looks pretty on her, but mom has a different opinion on that (oh well it's my cat!).

I bought these colourful balls to her as well, but she TOTALLY ignored it! :'( I didn't understand why at first until I saw her grimase when I shoved it up on her face. She kind of wrinkled her nose with an expression saying "eeewwww it stiiiinks". I smelled it, and yes the balls do have the yucky plastic stench! Sooo disappointed!
