Basically I dyed my hair in a slightly lighter brown colour at a hair dresser in Hong Kong. I later bought some Liese hair dye for my black roots, an ashy colour called "Platinum brown". I really like this colour BUT it turned out being darker than my haircolour.
Alright pardon for this ugly picture of me lol I took it when I was really sick and wanted to complain about it on Instagram. I was planning to dye my hair to black because it's a bit bothersome to keep dying black roots... but then I realised, nah it's okay. Let people think I have Ombre-dyed it ^^
Hmm I think it's less brassy in real life, it might be because of the lighting.
I want to wear some fun and colourful jackets this Autumn. The weather has been too depressing this summer.
Gold flake nail polish (New Moon) from h&m and black pinkey nail polish from Sasa. The gold flakes dont really show on the picture, it's really pretty though because I like subtle details when it comes to nails.
I have actually been thinking of sharing this a loooong time ago but I always forgot or something else came up. Anyways, some conversations reminded me to write this post. The first conversation that reminded me of this was when my cousin talked about how her hobby seems to surprise everyone. Not because it is a weird hobby, but because it simply doesn't "suit" her image lol she likes to collect different kinds of coins (pounds). I didn't even think about it before she told me this, but apparently UK releases different designs for their coins, especially the one pound coin (unlike here in Sweden... they all look pretty much the same).
Actually I don't have much to write about, I just wanted to share a picture of all the makeup I own. My parents got back from Canada today and my auntie had bought four Benefit makeup products for me! Then I realised how much makeup I have! I remember it started with mascara when I was 17 and then... eyeliner.... concealer.... and A LOT MORE! I have some problem with storing the makeup now =/
I got this from my uncle! It's from Walmart, SPA resource vanilla sugar! I asked my mother to buy the body cream and hand cream because I LOVE the smell!! It moisturises well as well! And now I got the whole set haha! Can't really describe the smell... it's not the regular vanilla smell.... it's sweeter and it smells MUCH better XD I'm gonna sniff it all night lol!
So I did some research on AFFORDABLE good concealers. I mean, okay I know how people rave over the Bobbi brown concealer and MAC, and I'm sure they are great and so on.....but these are way over my concealer budget.
During my research I came across Soap and Glory's Kick Ass Concealer which has got pretty good reviews. Boots were doing promotions so I bought it and got 30% off. The original price is £10 which I think is sliiiightly expensive, because it's not much product you get... but it is really a great concealer so I guess it makes it more worth for money!
Super-pale-me of course chose the light one and I really like how it comes in to two shades so that you can mix it up depending how tan/pale you are. It is surprisingly really smooth! I usually avoid cake concealers because they tend to feel quite dry on your skin. But I felt a bit adventurous and wanted to give it a try and I am happy I did :D because it blends easily into you skin and it is really creamy. Cake concealers are generally more pigmented than liquid concealers so you don't need much product.
I really like the small mirror btw :)
I haven't used any primer or base, just the concealer on this picture.
Anyways! I was so happy that everything went fine even though the baby is 2,5months too early! So he needs to be kept in an oxygen box for a few weeks I think. His name is Leonard by the way, Leonard Li. As for the Chinese name, I'm not sure if mom has decided yet. He's also born in the year of the dragon so we have 4 dragons in our family now!
Based on the pictures I have seen so far, he doesn't look like half Chinese to me haha, he looks full Chinese! Hehe I wonder if he will have wavy hair later because his mom has curly hair :D :D
During all these months in uk I have always told myself to ask mom to teach me how to cook when I visit Sweden. But it has never happened, not sure why haha there has always been something else that was more important to do. Nevertheless, I have become much better at cooking than I was before (even without anyone teaching me). Even though I am still far from good, I have still improved a lot and some of my dishes actually taste good haha!
I guess when you live by yourself far from home, your survival instincts will reveal :) beside the education I've got here in the Master programme I am taking... I have learned so much things that I could have never experienced in Sweden. I have also never travelled this much with train and plane - ever! Compared to one year ago, I would have been really nervous about travelling to different cities with train all by myself. Scared of getting lost or missing the train etc etc. I am much more confident with foreign transport system and know how to plan ahead.
It wasn't really pleasant to be really sick in UK away from family (my damn wisdom tooth gave me a bad gum infection). I handled it quite well although I was unfamiliar with the health system here. I am so happy that I registered myself at the GP early, because just a few weeks after that I got sick =__= I've become more bold as well, even outside my comfort zone, such as Demanding to see a doctor without any prior bookings (btw that's really stupid of the UK health system) and voila I got a time right away and got antibiotics prescribed right away as well. Yes it was quite bad, I couldn't even open my mouth properly for the doctor. In general, for your own sake, you need to be bold or persistent.
Beside these experiences, I have a new challenge this week. I am going to another city that I haven't been to yet in UK for a job interview. Even though I don't have any high hopes about passing it for the final assessment day, it will be a worthwhile experience for me. I have never been to a face-to-face interview outside Sweden. This is also a big international company, so I am really excited about this!
Fried rice with seafood, really good! I think fried rice is one of the few dishes that I never fail at!
Btw.... I didn't know there was such thing as Broken Rice I was at the Korean Supermarket and asked for regular rice for meals. The man was not really good at English, well he did say it was broken rice but I didn't understand what he meant by that.... he just nodded when I asked whether it was for regular cooking. Anyways, broken rice is LITERALLY broken rice.... which I noticed when I opened the package.... the rice grains were BROKEN in half lol! I felt like an idiot hahaha anyways I did some research on google and found out that broken rice is just like any regular rice... only that it's cheaper because the grains are broken and not whole. People also prefer using broken rice when cooking porridge.
Oh well it still works, it doesn't taste bad but you just need to be careful with measuring the water (it can easily be too mushy if you have too much water when cooking it). And I still managed to make fried rice of it haha.
This is another Revlon lipstick, colorburst lip butter in Candy apple. And what can I say, I love it! It looks really fruity on the lips super moisturizing!!
EDIT: I bought three earrings from Forever21 today ♡ Love their accessorizes ♡
Took a pic, mainly to use it for a lipstick post. Because I have recently been into lipstick, I keep wanting to buy more!! This is Macs cremesheen cremecup.
Anyways, the point is. I noticed how thick eyebrows look and it reminded me that I havent trimmed them for ages -.-
UPDATE: My mom thinks they look horrible hahahaa
I don't think I'm the only one that thinks crowded trains are awkward, especially when you are short and standing up! Like when there's a tall man standing in front of you with 5cm distance, or worse, armpits!
And also, you don't know where to look at without being mistaken for staring someone! When I have finally found a spot (usually some advertisements inside the train) my neck get strained after a while =____=
On a different note.... I got this cute make-up purse from my friends :) it's Cath Kidston which is a quite popular British brand (especially among asians) however, I have to say I think they are quite overpriced. I would never buy this myself! But I like it though :) it has a cute little mirror inside. But I think I'll use it as a pencil-purse instead.
They also bought this hanger to me:
cute huh? It's perfect for my belt and other accessories! :D
So far I'm really liking this product : D the colour i have is soft rose. I have been looking for a lipstick that matches my own lip colour. Because its good for everyday wearing, it goes with everything. One con would be that it does not have spf protection. I had previously bought the Maybelline Nude lipstick collection which I have been liking a lot, but I have been using it for a while.... like 2 years?? For hygienic reasons, I thought it was time to buy a new one :P
I purchased it from boots, 2 for £10! So me and my friend bought the lipsticks together, she chose the baby pink one.
So when I went back to Sweden for Christmas holiday I bought this fur parka from Zara on sale and was so happy over the bargain. However, one quite annoying thing is, when you buy a nice jacket from Zara, you know for sure that there are going to be many people wearing exactly the same jacket as you.
But I didn't expect to see THAT many people having the same Zara jacket -.- especially at Uni! There are SO many people that have that jacket gaaaahhh! And yesterday, I saw BOY wearing it when I was lining up in Tesco. I think he noticed it because we were eyeing at each other. Awkward for the boy I guess lol
I had this awesome vietnamese dish in China town (okay not totally awesome because the noodles could have been done better) which was soooo cheap! Main dish + soya milk + red bean dessert for only £6.9!
Bought these shoes at Aldo during wintersale. I love them <3
I know the washing machine fee is ridiculous expensive.... but how are the clothes getting clean and properly washed if you put THIS amount of clothes in it LOL
