• Graduation ceremony in the City Hall

I AM AN OFFICIAL GRADUATE STUDENT NOW!! WOHOOOO!! All the graduate students were gathered at 14.00 for rehearsal and photography. The real graduation ceremony started at 17.00. My feet hurt SO MUCH we walked up and down the stairs and with my high heels it wasn't easy. It ended up that me and Louise sat down on the floor when waiting for the walkout (with our big dresses yes, not very glamorous haha). We all were starving as well!! ...

  • Max factor xperience review and a mini excursion with Miss N!

So I returned to my favourite mascara brand, Max factor! I randomly bought one at HM because I had a 20% coupon and saw that there was a new Max Factor collection out that is called Xperience. This collection is very new so there are very few people that have reviewed the products but since I have always liked Max Factor's mascaras, I bought one anyway ...

  • (Almost) Everything about Mei aka Mei Mei

...Usually when I am awake and gets up to make my bed (I sleep with my door closed btw), I often find Mei sitting quietly outside my door waiting for me to come out (so freaking cute). She yawns, stretches and gives me a good morning meow. She sometimes wait outside the bathroom when I'm inside LOL...

  • Let me present my kind of new kitty cat, Taiga :D

I got a new kitten in May 2011 and his name is Taiga (his former name was Lion King, but I didn't really like it... so I changed it haha). He is a lynx red pointed Birman, and is supposed to have quite rare markings. Oh well, not that I really cared for that when I chose him. I chose him simply because of his sweet sweet personality....

I have been using the Maybelline New York Pure Cover Mineral Concealer for about two years or so and I absolutely love this product. So I was devastated when Maybelline decided to discontinue this product!! Instead, they have launched the SuperStay 24hr concealer which I though would be similar to the mineral one. But I was WRONG :( the formular is too dry for me and becomes easily caky under my eyes! And I need to be careful when applying because otherwise it becomes patchy on my skin.

So I did some research on AFFORDABLE good concealers. I mean, okay I know how people rave over the Bobbi brown concealer and MAC, and I'm sure they are great and so on.....but these are way over my concealer budget.

During my research I came across Soap and Glory's Kick Ass Concealer which has got pretty good reviews. Boots were doing promotions so I bought it and got 30% off. The original price is £10 which I think is sliiiightly expensive, because it's not much product you get... but it is really a great concealer so I guess it makes it more worth for money!

There are three steps: Use the slightly darker salmon shade to neutralise dark blue undertone under your eyes and then the lighter shade to blend it. Finish it off with the set powder on the top. HOWEVER I prefer not to use the set powder because it makes the skin too dry and sometimes caky. But I guess people with really oily skin under the eyes would like applying it on the top. I use the set powder on my eyelids instead as a base, it is really good for a smoother eyeshadow application.

Super-pale-me of course chose the light one and I really like how it comes in to two shades so that you can mix it up depending how tan/pale you are. It is surprisingly really smooth! I usually avoid cake concealers because they tend to feel quite dry on your skin. But I felt a bit adventurous and wanted to give it a try and I am happy I did :D because it blends easily into you skin and it is really creamy. Cake concealers are generally more pigmented than liquid concealers so you don't need much product.

I really like the small mirror btw :)

I haven't used any primer or base, just the concealer on this picture.

Again???!! Yes I couldn't hold myself,  it was on promo so me and my friend (who has also fallen in to the lipstick trap) bought together. I paid £5,2 ♪
This is another Revlon lipstick, colorburst lip butter in Candy apple. And what can I say, I love it! It looks really fruity on the lips super moisturizing!!

EDIT: I bought three earrings from Forever21 today ♡ Love their accessorizes ♡

So far I'm really liking this product : D the colour i have is soft rose. I have been looking for a lipstick that matches my own lip colour. Because its good for everyday wearing, it goes with everything. One con would be that it does not have spf protection. I had previously bought the Maybelline Nude lipstick collection which I have been liking a lot, but I have been using it for a while.... like 2 years?? For hygienic reasons, I thought it was time to buy a new one :P

I purchased it from boots, 2 for £10! So me and my friend bought the lipsticks together, she chose the baby pink one.

Yeehh after coming back from Hong Kong för like three weeks I am finally fully charged to blog the interesting things I bought.

I bought Majolica Majorca's new mascara called Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo. It has pretty much the same formula as the former mascara I have from them, The Lash Expander Frame Plus. The main difference is the brush, Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo has a brush and not a comb (which I really didn't like about the Lash Expander Frame Plus). Anyways I
t works great, super water-proof and very light.

Since I really love their mascaras I thought I should try their eyeliner as well, the Perfect Automatic Liner. I am kind of disappointed with this product. It does stay for the whole day but GOD IT'S SO DIFFICULT TO APPLY!! It takes AGES to make it look smooth and even on my eyes T__T I don't understand, I've read many good rev
iews about this product....

I bought a blush brush and a small eyeshadow brush at SASA, T
hey were quite cheap. The blush brush cost like 50kr and it's goat hair. Despite the price, they are really good! But then, these are my first make up brushes ever haha but as a regular make-up user, I am definitely satisfied with them :D

The small can-looking thing next to the eyeshadow brush is the Salmon Dark Circle concealer cream from Skinfood that people have rave
d so much about.

Well I am not that impressed:

The colour: Too light for me (it might suit me better when I am pale like white paper in winter).
Coverage: It's okay, almost as good as the Maybelline mineral concealer that I use. And it doesn't crease BUT it does crease if you appl
y powder on top.

Formula: It's too oily, it feels sticky on my skin.

I rate it 6 out of 10. I won't repurchase it again considering it cost around 120kr :P not cheap in other words!

I went to Colourmix and bought some Liole stuff! This is Liole's Blooming Pop Pinky tint that you can both apply on lips and cheeks. However, I prefer using as a liptint because it's rather difficult to blend it on cheeks. It looks like a bubblegum pink colour on the brush, but it looks more natural pink on the lips. I guess it also depends on your own natural lip colour. I love this product!! :D :D
Okay so here's the famous Liole's Triple the Solution B
B cream. Not too expensive actually (I've read it's pricey but I guess HK sells it cheaper?) 120kr ish - as much as the freaking concealer from Skin Food GAAH!

Anyways, I really like this BB cream even though it's different from my Skin79 BB cream which I love:

Colour: It really suits my skincolour, it is slightly darker than my Triple Functions my Skin79. So it's great for summertime. Especially it has better Spff++ f
unction than Triple Function.

Coverage: It is a bit thicker and has better coverage than the Skin79 BB cream I have, so I need to be careful not using too much product. Nevertheless, it feels light on skin.

Smell: Not a fan of the smell, smells like some old French perfume...

To sum up it's a great product! I'm planning to use the Liole BB cream during summer and sunny days. I can't decide if which one I prefer though, the Skin79 one or Liole. The Liole BB cream is also supposed to help lighten dark spots, I need to use it more frequently and for a longer period and then get back if it really has this function.

I bought some skin-care products from JuJu cosmetics. Their Aloe vera cleanser, toner and lotion. They are really nice! Very moisturizing and gentle. Great for winter time when I'm super duper dry.

I think that's all the make-up and skincare products I bought in HK :)

I got my package from Nelly todaaaay! :D :D :D I bought Too Faced Enchanted Glamourland Limited Edition. It looks like Urban Decay's Book of Shadows, but with a bigger variety of eyeshadows (I think). Urban Decay's book of Shadows consists of mostly glittery or shimmery eye shadows. And I am not a big fan of eyeshadows with too much of glitter.

It's actually my first purchase of a Too Faced product. I have seen their products at Åhléns in Stockholm. But the testers were always so messy and yucky so I never wanted to try anything from them. But I really wanted to buy their Eyeshadow primer (Shadow Insurance) though, because I had heard SOOO many great things about it. However, as a low-maintenance girl when it comes to make-up... I really did not want to pay 240kr for a small eye primer.

Nevertheless, here are some pictures of the product:

I am not going to review this thoroughly, because you can google up sooo many great reviews about this product with loads of swatches. By the way I only found good comments about The Enchanted Glamourland when I googled on it.

A rather childish packaging but still pretty hahaa :)

The only thing I didn't really go "woho!!" over is the blush with golden shimmer. Some people absolutely love shimmery blushes, and some don't - like me. I have never been a big fan of shimmery blushes or lip products. However it looks allright in day light. But when there's yellow-ish light (like indoor) it makes my cheeks sparkle =___= too dramatic for me. The highlighter/bronzer is really pretty though. A little bit too shimmery to be used as bronzer but gorgeous as a highlighter.

I must agree with the many reviewers that this make-up kit is really really great. The eyeshadows are really pigmented and I love the variation of colours and that the palette has 5 matte eye shadows. You will definitely have fun with the colour combinations.

Another great thing about this product is that you get two full sized products as well, the Glamour Gloss lip plumber and The Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I haven't tried the primer yet (I will soon!) but I have tried the lip gloss and I thought it was going to be just another lip gloss that will lay around (and absorb dust). Surprisingly, I really like the lip gloss! Because it doesn't dry out my lips like many other lip glosses and the nude pink colour is pretty on the lips. It also stayed put for many hours without any reapplication. The colour (Pillow Talk) you see on the tube is what you get, meaning the lip gloss is quite pigmented as well.OBS it didn't plumb my lips though, which doesn't matter to me at all.

EDIT: I have tried the shadow insurance now, it's great!

Ps. I will probably not buy any eyeshadows for a veeery long time now hahaha considering how slow I am with using up make-up products XD

Yo!!

I was so disappointed with the maybelline colossal mascara, it smudged after like 4 hours! And I even bought the waterproof version. Well, I have heard many good things about this mascara but I think my eyes just don't go well with maybelline mascaras. I have never bought a maybelline mascara that doesn't smudge on me!

So I returned to my favourite mascara brand, Max factor! I randomly bought one at H&M because I had a 20% coupon and saw that there was a new Max Factor collection out that is called Xperience. This collection is very new so there are very few people that have reviewed the products but since I have always liked Max Factor's mascaras, I bought one anyway.

I couldn't find a picture of the mascara brush, but it looks like Max Factor's False Lash Effect only less big. So it's made of rubber-ish material as well. Now, choosing mascara is rather individual it really depends on what kind of effects you're looking for. As for me, the most important criterias are:

* Seperating - because my lashes tend to lump up easily and it looks really wierd

* NON-smudging - I think it's an asian thing, make up tends to smudge easily on me. Maxfactor mascaras don't smudge on me, love!

* Curls my lashes - And again, I have the typical asian lashes that are extremely stubborn and unwilling to have a nice romantic/fluttery curve. (Sigh)

And this mascara meets all my requirements (it kind of curls my lashes, not into the very glammy lashes though... but good enough for my asian lashes XD)

Pictures:

No-makeup (a tired eye)

After applying the mascara (only upper lashes)

* Obs I didn't curl my lashes with a lash curler so it's quite impressive how it manages to curve my stubborn asian lashes!

People that are looking for a mascara that makes their lashes look fuller and more dramatic, you should go for a mascara with regular brush (not rubber).

Me and Miss N went to town to find her Zara coat but all the small sizes were out of stock =/ we also went to a crystal store to look at the Swarovski charms. As all the Stockholmers might know, there's a new tramcar in the city and we decided to take a ride with it :D
